District #1 Boxing History

District #1 Boxing Club originated out of a Big Sky High School student club in 2023. The Big Sky Boxing Student Club teamed up with Mr. Parsons, a math teacher at Big Sky High School, who grew up boxing in the Great Falls Armature Boxing Club. Mr. Parsons competed for 12 years as an amateur boxer and has coached for 13 years as a USA Boxing Certified Coach. The team's first event was "Boxing in Big Sky" in April 2024.

Purpose

District #1 Boxing Club is located in Missoula, MT and is a USA Boxing registered club that is sponsored by Missoula County Public Schools. This Club is designed to be an affordable, safe and fun environment for members of the MCPS community to enjoy the benefits of boxing in a fitness and competition capacity.

Becoming a member

District #1 Boxing Club is grateful to be sponsored by MCPS, this allows us to have a free facility for members of the MCPS to have access to. If you are not a member of MCPS please reach out to coach Parsons for more information on how you might be able to join.

USA Boxing Membership

Even though we have a free facility we are able to offer, it is required that you have a USA Boxing Membership to be allowed to use the facility. If you have any questions or concerns on this requirement, please contact us and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
